The Tirau Markets started up in June, in Tirau - a vibrant little town set in the South Waikato amongst some of New Zealand's most fertile farmland.

A country style market, including produce, art & craft, pottery that offers an exciting venue for producers and makers to meet and sell their product, building community spirit with locals and visitors.

Our first market and Tirau certainly got an injection of market fever. Comments ranged from fantastic to
"we have not seen Tirau like this for many years- just like the old times."

Neil Sinclair, the Mayor of South Waikato cut the ribbon for the grand opening of what became a very successful first day.

People said things like "now we have our own Market"

We woke before dawn to see this on the morning of our 1st Market.
